In 1986, Melanie Hurt established the prestigious talent agency, The Hurt Agency. in Winter Park, Florida. 14 years industry experience plus THA's high 'booking' ratio has made  The Hurt Agency the most successful talent agency in Central Florida, developing an excellent national reputation in Los Angeles and New York.

The Hurt Agency is a full service agency representing professional actors in television and film, commercials, and industrial productions. The Hurt Agency also has a highly respected print model division 'Hurt's Lifestyle' and voice-over division 'Voices'.

Melanie Hurt represents actors in national TV productions such as Tom Hanks' HBO production, From Earth to the Moon, Walker ~Texas Ranger, SeaQuest, Pointman, Second Noah, and Nickelodeon's latest shows, Keenan & Kel, Mystery Files of Shelby Woo, All That, and Gullah Gullah Island. She also represents the two stars of PBS's smash new children's series, The Reppies. Most recently, five of Melanie's actors have landed recurring roles on the hit dramatic series The Cape, starring Corbin Bernsen of L.A. Law fame. Early this year this year, director John Singleton was in town to film the historical drama, Rosewood; two child actors represented by The Hurt Agency were principal players in this important film, released February 97'.
